The Dementianator
My choice for best in show is my commercial project "The Dementianator". This project seems like a silly commercial about a hat that gives you dementia but it actually is the origin story for a character that me and my classmate Christian came up with. The character is an old man named Mr. Witherbee (Bill Swift before he loses his mind) and he has severe dementia, he forgets things in the matter of seconds. There is a bigger story between mine and Christian's portfolio projects (and stuff we do after). I chose this for best in show because it was my favorite project to work on and it is the beginning of a long story that is yet to be told.
War of the Kirbs
While I was at PTC me and my friends 3D printed these small Kirby's with long legs. We hid them around the school for a couple of months to seem like an invasion of some sorts. Some inspiration came from "War of the Worlds" when an ad for the book played on the radio and a lot of people thought it was real. I took those two concepts and came up with an end of the world style PSA about an alien invasion.
66.6 E-Ville Radio Station
For my audio piece I wanted to do something a little different from my other pieces that are all goofy or comedic. So I decided to make it an audio horror piece. The theme is that there is a radio station that tells horror stories. The host (Az) is actually a demon named Az'gon the Fabulist. He travels the world in his radio station telling horror stories. But the twist is that by telling the story Az is able to make it actually happen as he is telling it. That is why he is the Fabulist ,he tells stories believed to be fiction but in reality they are real.
Dragon Ball Line Animation (unfinished)
This project is currently work in progress. I might have bit off more than I can chew when it comes to this project. This is a line animation that is based off of Dragon Ball and their energy attacks. This has given me nothing but trouble since I started working on it and is turning out not how I wanted it to. However I am still trying my best and hope to get better at this kind of editing over time.
